The nature of this website
Museum Visitor Guide is a static, independent demonstration publication about the British Museum and London. It is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by the British Museum. These terms explain the intended use of the supplied pages; they do not identify or invent a company, registered office or museum partnership.
The guide is available for general reading and personal planning. It does not provide a ticket sale, reservation, paid membership or professional advisory service. Its demonstration forms do not create a subscription, send a message or establish an ongoing service relationship.
Using the editorial information
Articles, suggested routes and planning notes offer general information and editorial opinion. They are not tailored advice. A short introduction cannot cover every interpretation, collection history, access requirement or practical circumstance. Treat recommendations as options and use your own judgement about what suits your interests and needs.
Visitor arrangements can change without being reflected here. Confirm admission conditions, opening arrangements, exhibitions, closures and access provision with the official British Museum website before travelling. Nothing on this guide reserves entry, confirms availability or guarantees that a gallery, object, facility or route will be accessible on a particular day.
Responsible use
Please use the pages lawfully. Do not attempt to introduce malicious code, interfere with a hosted service, misrepresent this guide as an official museum publication or use the demonstration fields for sensitive personal information. The form interface is for local testing only; do not rely on it to raise a real enquiry.
References and links are provided to help readers, not as an endorsement of every statement or service on the destination website. External services have their own terms, privacy notices and availability. Any booking or other arrangement made there is separate from this guide.
Text, imagery and third-party rights
Do not assume that freely viewing an image grants permission to republish it. Real photographs may carry separate creator credits, licences and conditions, recorded with the site’s image credits. Museum names and other third-party identifiers remain subject to their respective rights; their use here is descriptive, not a claim of ownership or endorsement.
AI-generated decorative editorial still-lifes are identified separately from real photographs and must not be presented as evidence of museum collection objects. Any reuse must respect applicable rights and the source-specific conditions. These terms do not grant a blanket licence over all content or images.
Availability, responsibility and your rights
The demonstration is supplied as general information without a promise of continuous availability, completeness or error-free operation. It may be changed or withdrawn. Keep independent copies of any planning details you need and consult authoritative information for decisions with practical consequences.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, or removes mandatory consumer rights or other protections that apply to you. No particular governing law, jurisdiction or corporate identity is asserted for this unconfigured demonstration. A real operator should obtain appropriate advice and adapt these terms before offering live services. See also the disclaimer and privacy notice.
